"Mark Twain once said: "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations, and resentments flit away, and a sunny spirit takes their place."the more I think about it, the more I realize. Seeing life through the lens of humor helps us break down barriers and create more comfort and openness among people. It helps us to maintain stability, release psychological bottlenecks, reduce insecurity as well as keep us a healthy mind. In photography, I always look for strange moments, unusual situations that make people curious what is happening here, and leave them a smile. Because what we need most, isn't laughter at this stage?"
Moritz:
"I agree, totally. I think that humor can be seen as a kind of mental hygiene. Whereby tidying up is actually fun. Humor is a position that can leave you standing above a lot and goes beyond this cramped seriousness that is often required in life. However, humor as a representative of the positive side of our emotions is also very close to the negative sense. And I think that dealing with it, a balancing act, is just as challenging as it can be liberating. So I would say that I count on humor when facing fear but don't rely on it. Nonetheless, as one of the most important characteristics of our mentality, it helps immensely to deal with stressful things.
